The International Sanicole 2011 was a great success. Many spectators showed up for both the Sunset airshow on Friday 16/9 as well as for the 35th International Sanicole on Sunday 18/9. With the valued support of many committed volunteers, participants, military and civilian governments, local authorities, emergency services and sponsors we were able to deliver a very entertaining day with a nonstop flight program that touches upon multiple aspects of aviation.

Earlier this week, the sad arrived to us that the mother of the Leader of the Patrulla Aguila passed away unexpectedly. We present our sincere condolences to the family. 

Since the schedules of military teams such as the Patrulla Aguila are booked ahead months in advance, finding another military jet team on such short notice is almost impossible.Yet, we have been able, with the support of the Belgian Airforce, to add some very interesting items to the show. We are happy to present some unique formations which include amongst others the A330 in formation with a number of F-16’s. Next to this we will also present a special formation with a number of helicopters from both the Belgian Airforce and the Federal Police. Some more unique formations will be kept as a surprise for Sunday.

Miss Demeanour celebrates 60th anniversary Hawker Hunter in Sanicole

It is without any doubt the most coulourful and eye-catching Hunter flying around in the world. Some people think her coulour scheme is a creation of art, others prefer a more traditional scheme on the Hunter, but we are convinced that Miss Demeanour will conquer all the hearts of our airshow visitors. Besides the 5-ship of Team Viper and the plane of the Dutch hawker Hunter Foundation, Miss Demeanour is the seveth Hunter which will come to Sanicole to celebrate the 60^th anniversary of this legendary jet.

Exclusive European visit for U.S. Army Golden Knights in Sanicole

After the Canadian Skyhawks last year, the International Sanicole Airshow presents again a great parachute team, the U.S. Army Golden Knights. This formation is one of the best military parachute teams in the world and can be seen in Europe exclusively at the Sanicole Airshow. The team will interrupt their North-American tour for one weekend in September to show their skills in Belgium. They can be seen with their traditional show during our Sunday Airshow, but they will perform a very spectacular night show as well during our Sunset Airshow on Friday evening.

Red Bull : fireworks on every meeting.

The Flying Bulls collection from Austria is getting one of the traditional guests at our international airshow. After the Cobra fighter helicopter last year, they can be seen with their very spectacular aerobatic demo of the Bo-105. This is one of the few helicopters which can perform full aerobatic manoevers, but the quantity and frequency of loopings and rolld in the demonstration of this Red Bull Bo-105 are never seen before. It will be, without any doubt, the most aerobatic helicopter demo you have ever seen.

Spanish finishing touch!

With the confirmation of the national patrol of the Spanish Air Force ‘Patrulla Aguilla’ to participate in our jubilee celebration, we have our ultimate headliner! Over the past 35 years we’ve hosted almost every military European jet team  in Hechtel once or more, except for the Spanish, who were missing in our list of honour. So we are very proud to have the Patrulla Aguilla in this year’s programme. This Spanish success formation was founded in 1985 en celebrated her 25^th birthday in 2010. The team flies with 7 Spanish Casa C-101 Aviojets and is home based in San Javier near La Manga. The Patrulla Aguilla will be the finale act at our airshow on Sunday, 18^th of September 2011.

Spectacular Czech participation at Sanicole!

The Czech Air Force has confirmed her participation at the International Sanicole Airshow today. Three aircrafts will be part of our flying display. There’s the very impressive Mi-24 Hind combat helicopter on one hand and there are two jets on the other hand, the L-159 Alca and the JAS 39 Gripen. The Czech Air Force is a favorite and frequent participant at our airshow. Their last Sanicole participation was in 2009. 

Ticket sale for the International Sanicole Airshow starts with special Early Bird action

The ticket sale for our airshow has started with a special early bird action. Until the 31^st of August tickets for our event can be bought with a special early bird reduction, saving you 9 euro for a day ticket. The ‘Friends of Sanicole’-tickets are 10 euro cheaper for quick deciders! This year, a limited number of day tickets will be available for our Sunset Airshow, besides our two-day tickets.

35^th International Sanicole Airshow jubilee in 2011

Sanicole will be celebrating her 35^th airshow jubilee on Sunday 18 September with her traditional show, but also with a 2^nd edition of our sunset airshow on Friday 16 September 2011 due to last year’s great success. Again we’ll be offering   an excellent  flying program to our visitors, showing the world’s best pilots.

This  year’s show is built around following themes: 65^th birthday of the Belgian air Force, 60^th birthday of the Hunter, 70^th birthday of the attack at Pearl Harbor and the 40^th birthday of the Lynx in the Royal Navy.

At our new website you can find all necessary information about our event and from the 1^st of June, the ticket sale will take off at this very website and other selling points.
