The pilots of the Blades have performed at the International Sanicole Airshow several times in the past, either as part of the Blades display team or as part of the Royal Air Force aerobatic team The Red Arrows. All pilots of this exceptional team are former Red Arrows pilots. Another special thing about the Blades are that the team is an official airline.
This means they can take passengers along for a complete aerobatics display with the team. This is something that is quite popular as a corporate activity as part of a day-long experience package.
They are based at Sywell in the United Kingdom, about 60 minutes north of London. They fly the Extra 300S, a twin-seat high-performance aerobatics aircraft, capable of taking plus and minus 10G.
Leading the team is 2017 is Ben Murphy, a former leader with the RAF Red Arrows. Ben is married to Kirsty Murphy who also flies with the team. In addition, Ben is also a pilot in the Challenger Class of the Red Bull Air Race World Series.
Don’t miss the return of this crowd-favourite during the Sanicole Sunset Airshow!
