The Twister aerobatics duo are old favourites at Sanicole. They first attended in 2010, where they provided a breathtaking pyrotechnic display during the first Sanicole Sunset Airshow. Since then, they appeared two more times with ever more spectacular lighting and pyrotechnics.
The demonstration team of the Italian air force is called Frecce Tricolori, the three-coloured arrows. They are the biggest military display team in Europe with ten MB339 jet trainers of Italian design.
Glider aerobatics have always been popular at Sanicole. The pilots of GliderFX are old friends at the International Sanicole Airshow and in 2017, they will once again thrill the audience.
The pilots of the Blades have performed at the International Sanicole Airshow several times in the past, either as part of the Blades display team or as part of the Royal Air Force aerobatic team The Red Arrows. All pilots of this exceptional team are former Red Arrows pilots. Another special thing about the Blades are that the team is an official airline.
In the 1960s, the Soviet Union and the United States both developed the first combat helicopters that could also take out enemy tanks and armed infantry vehicles. Both made very different design choices though. The United States opted, for a slender machine with only two crew onboard, resulting in the AH-1 Cobra, which was first used in Vietnam.
