Eye the tigers at Sanicole

There is a long-standing, strong tie between the tiger community and the Sanicole Airshow. Both on a local level with the 31 squadron based at Kleine-Brogel and internationally with the Nato Tiger Association.  It is therefore no surprise that the 70th anniversary of this proud tiger unit and the 60th anniversary of the Association are two central themes in this year’s airshow.

September will therefore be an incredible Tiger celebration around the “XTM”, a special XT-roar-dinary Tigermeet, to celebrate these anniversaries. The 31 squadron, one of the founding members of the NATO tiger association, will be hosting this special event at Kleine-Brogel Air Force Base to gather these NATO units that have a tiger or large cat in their emblem. All these units meet annually to exchange experiences and best-practices during the course of a joint military exercise.

Apart from gathering crews from all over Europe proudly wearing tiger colours, several of the participating units will also present their powerful mounts with baffling flying displays. To add to the special occasion, there will also be a unique, one-off tiger tail formation over the Sanicole airfield with participating units showing off their awesome, tiger-inspired liveries in memorable fashion.

Be sure not to miss this festive double-bill and join us at the International Sanicole airshow in September!
