In 2022 we celebrate the 75th anniversary of the United States Air Force, which was founded on September 18th 1947 to be precise.
On the occasion of the anniversary of the most powerful Air Force in the world and a very loyal partner of our International Sanicole Airshow, we are thrilled to present a number of airplanes both in static and flying display which will honour the history and the future of the USAF.
Sanicole brings two very different aerial thrills. On Saturday September 10th, you can start our airshow weekend with our Sunset Airshow. Gates open at 15:00 and the action in the sky starts at 17:00 till dark, with breathtaking fireworks accentuating the graceful displays in the evening sky.
On Sunday September 11th, a full day of spectacular displays await you at International Sanicole Airshow. Gates open at 8:00 and the varied programme runs from 10:00 until past 17:00.
You see, two airshows, but they could not be more different!

Our goal is to provide you the best airshow experience possible at a range of price points. Because of the maximum capacity in this year’s event, the number of Friends of Sanicole, Business and VIP tickets per event day will be strongly limited. We want to give our ticket buyers from our previous editions a priority pass to purchase these tickets and therefore we will launch the online sale of these tickets one they before the regular presale.

There are currently no government restrictions on visiting events due to COVID-19. If there are any changes at a later stage, we will inform our visitors about this immediately. It is therefore important to regularly monitor the various information channels to see if significant changes have taken place. The measures imposed by the government on the day of our event apply and may differ from the time your ticket purchase was made.
Tickets are preferably purchased in advance and online via our website. In this way you not only buy your tickets at a cheaper rate with a discount, but you also ensure smooth access on the day of our event. We have provided a discounted youth rate for children between 8 and 14 years old and our smallest airplane friends under 8 years old can visit our air show for free. (only applicable to day and combination tickets and not to special packages)
However, your tickets will be even cheaper if you register as a Sanicole Airshow Insider. Our ticket prices increase at the end of each month, so don’t delay purchasing your tickets!

Flying displays commence:
Our airfield is one large event site where everyone can sit freely. At the back there will be a zone the full length of the site with sales stands for aviation gadgets, catering stands and our kids zone.
The aircraft on display on the site are located between the public line and the runway. The runway itself is one large helicopter strip as a landing spot for all participating helicopters.
Visitors who choose one of our special packages (Friends of Sanicole, Business or VIP) have access to a separate area on our site, where they can enjoy the show.
The car parks will be decentralized again in 2022 at 3 different locations in order to ensure that the inflow and outflow take place as smoothly as possible. From these car parks you will be taken to the event area by free shuttle buses.
When you buy your entrance tickets for the air show online, you also need to purchase a parking voucher. You will automatically be allocated the parking that is best accessible from your place of residence.
Are you leaving for the Sanicole airshow from a different location than your home address? Then enter the address from where you actually depart.
Special parking will be provided for visitors with disabilities or visitors who require wheelchair transport, as well as for visitors by motorbike.
On Saturdays, the car parks open at 3 p.m. On Sundays, the car parks will open at 08 a.m.
We advise everyone who comes to the air show by car to use the Waze App and to enter the parking lot stated on your parking voucher. This way you will be guided to the event in the fastest way. Do NOT use the general address of the airfield: Kamperbaan 165, 3940 Hechtel, Belgium!
When you visit our event by train, you should use the station of Leopoldsburg as the final station. As Sanicole Airshow we organize a free shuttle service from Leopoldsburg station to the airport and back. This shuttle service is provided on both Saturday evening and Sunday and takes about 10 minutes.
The Sanicole Airshow has made a major investment in the catering facilities for the 2022 edition. This way we can offer our visitors an even better and more extensive range of drinks and meals.
Each catering outlet has a large terrace where you can enjoy your drink or snack in peace.
There is very good news for visitors who love Duvel, because in memory of the 23rd Devil Squadron that was disbanded exactly 20 years ago, this year in addition to our 5 regular catering zones, there is a Devil bar with a terrace where you can enjoy Duvel from the barrel.
Buy your drink and food vouchers online in advance via our website. This way you not only save on the costs of the vouchers, but you also avoid the long queues during the event. Similar to our entrance tickets, the price of our drink and food vouchers will also increase at the end of each month, so don’t wait to order them!
In keeping with tradition, we will publish a souvenir programme about our airshow that will be sold at the two public entrances of our event for € 5.00. Here you will find more information about our participants, as well as the timing of our demonstrations.
Our souvenir programme can also be reserved in advance via the ticket shop on our website for € 4.00 and collected on the day of our show just past the entrance.
Dogs and other pets are not allowed during our airshow. We all love our animals very much and that is why we are convinced that it is better to leave them at home. It is impossible to protect the ears of our pets in the same way that we protect our own and it is not predictable how they will react to the noise of the aircraft.
