Royal Navy WildCat

Among the most modern military machines to participate at this year’s International Sanicole Airshow is the British Royal Navy’s state-of-the-art Agusta-Westland AW-159 Wildcat. While it may look a little like its Lynx ancestor, this ultra-advanced helicopter is chockfull of modern avionics and sensitive detection equipment to allow it to execute its missions with unrivalled effectiveness. Its primary missions is to protect friendly vessels from enemy submarines, but thanks to its agility it is extremely versatile and can perform a variety of tasks operating from Royal Navy frigates.

At Sanicole, the Royal Navy Wildcat Demonstration Team from 825 Naval Air Squadron based at Yeovilton will demonstrate this advanced machine for you, following in the footsteps of their illustrious Black Cats predecessors. A wonderful opportunity to see this sophisticated machine upclose!
