The Polish airforce will send over a legendary aircraft from the cold war. At the end of the 70s, the former Soviet Union was faced with a new generation of western fighters that were more agile to achieve air superiority. The design bureau Mikoyan-Gurevich was tasked with designing an aircraft that could match the agility of the western aircraft.

This developed into the Mig-29 (NATO code name Fulcrum) and it became the most common fighter in the Warsaw pact. The Polish Mig-29s have been extensively upgraded to meet NATO requirements. They integrate seamlessly into NATO missions, for instance to guard the Baltic airspace.
Make sure to look at the tail closely, because the Polish Mig-29s used in air displays have a picture Polish World War II pilots painted on the inside of the two vertical stabilizers. On top of the fuselage, they carry the emblem of 313 squadron, a unit consisting of Polish pilots that fought with the British Royal Air Force during World War II.
