Saudi Hawks

The Saudi Hawks are the national display team of Saudi-Arabia. They fly 7 Hawk jet trainers painted in a mainly green livery, the same as the flag of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and are based at King Faisal airbase.

The team was founded in 1998 and has been coached by former members of the Red Arrows to enhance their display. The team uses white, red, blue and green smoke during the display to accentuate their formation and synchro displays. One particular manoeuver to look forward to is their intermediate break, where they form a palm tree with two crossed swords underneath, the symbol of Saudi-Arabia. The team holds the world record for largest sky drawing with this manoeuver.
The Saudi air force operates the Hawk for advanced pilot training since the end of the 1980s. They ordered 30 Mk65 variants, specially modified for the Saudi airforce.
Sanicole will be the second time that the team appears in Belgium, the first time was already 6 years ago!
