After a spectacular debut in 2024, the German Air Force is set to roar back into the spotlight at the International Sanicole Airshow 2026 on 12 & 13 September 2026 with one of the most thrilling jet demonstrations in Europe. Their star performer? The formidable Eurofighter Typhoon, affectionately nicknamed “Eufi” in Germany, bringing noise, speed, and pure adrenaline.
Born from a powerful partnership between Spain, Italy, Great Britain, and Germany, the Typhoon represents the cutting edge of modern fighter design. Built to dominate complex missions and seamlessly switch roles mid-flight, this multi-role fighter has become a global success story with operators across Europe and the Middle East.
But statistics alone cannot capture the drama of seeing it live. Twin Eurojet turbofan engines unleash a staggering 18 tonnes of thrust, complete with thunderous afterburners that rattle the airfield. The aircraft’s distinctive delta wing and forward canards give it the agility to pull extreme angles of attack, the kind that decide dogfights and leave spectators staring skyward in disbelief. When the pilot pulls up and the jet rockets vertically, it feels as if gravity briefly forgot its job.
For many years, German fast-jet displays were rare sightings on the European airshow circuit. Thankfully, that is changing. At Sanicole, Team Germany proudly unleashes the raw power and razor-sharp manoeuvrability of its flagship fighter, pushing both pilot and machine to the limit with turns reaching up to 9G.
The aircraft and pilot come from Nörvenich Air Base, home of Tactical Air Wing 31 “Boelcke” near Cologne. Together, they bring decades of fighter heritage and a display routine designed to make hearts race and cameras struggle to keep up.
