Flying Dragons
For a sunset spectacle that blurs the line between aviation and art, the place to be is the International Sanicole Airshow 2026. As daylight fades over the Limburg heath, the sky transforms into a vast canvas where international aviators paint glowing patterns with dazzling pyrotechnics. One of the evening’s highlights marks the long-awaited return to Belgium of a beloved sunset act: the Polish Flying Dragons.
The Flying Dragons take to the sky with eight paragliders, each powered by a lightweight motor worn like a backpack. Their soft wings glide silently through the twilight as the pilots weave together a perfectly choreographed aerial ballet. Trails of sparkling fireworks, vibrant lighting effects and powerful music combine to create a mesmerizing formation display that dances across the dusk sky. Masters of elegant simplicity, they showcase one of the most economical ways to fly, yet deliver a performance that feels nothing short of magical.
Behind the beauty lies serious expertise. Every pilot in the team is a highly experienced paraglider, with two members ranked among the very best in the world. Their precision, timing and artistry turn a simple wing and motor into a breathtaking show.
Who knows? After watching this glowing sky ballet, you might just feel the call of the air yourself and discover the wonderful world of paragliding.
Join us at the International Sanicole Airshow in HechtelEksel, Belgium on 12–13 September 2026 and experience a sunset performance you won’t soon forget.
